Lauren Francescone is a designer and ceramicist. Her work considers beauty, sensuality, and decoration in forms made strange through their liberation from function. She experiments with color and with the tactile aspects of clay bodies and glazes, which invite touch and evoke its pleasures. The principles of architecture and design provide a framework for her approach. In 2019 she launched ︎︎︎Temperatures, an occasional publication about contemporary ceramics. She holds a BS from the University of Virginia School of Architecture and an MFA from the Yale School of Art. She is currently based in Montréal.

Please get in touch if you are interested in working together on a custom project, large or small.
